Description

Banana pudding bars are a delicious, easy-to-make dessert that combines a graham cracker crust, creamy vanilla pudding, and fresh banana slices. These bars are perfect for any gathering and can be made in just 7 simple steps!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (about 12 crackers)
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 ½ cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, for homemade whipped cream)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust: Crush graham crackers and mix with melted butter. Press into the bottom of a baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes. Let cool.
  • Make the Pudding Layer: In a bowl, whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk. Spread the pudding over the cooled crust.
  • Add Banana Layer: Slice bananas and layer them on top of the pudding.
  • Top with Whipped Cream: Spread whipped cream over the banana layer.
  • Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight preferred) to let the bars set.
  • Slice and Serve: Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • Bananas: Use ripe but firm bananas for the best texture.
  • Whipped Cream: You can use store-bought or homemade whipped cream.
  • Pudding Mix: Instant vanilla pudding mix works best for this recipe.
  • Chill Time: For the best results, refrigerate the bars overnight to allow the layers to set properly.
