- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, with juices
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade taco seasoning)
- 1 cup beef broth (or vegetable broth for a lighter version)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for sautéing)
- 1–2 jalapeños, diced (optional, for spice)
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional for extra smoky flavor)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Sauté beef with onions and garlic until browned.
- Add beans, tomatoes, taco seasoning, and beef broth.
- Simmer for 30-45 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve with your favorite toppings like cheese, sour cream, and cilantro.

- You can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option.
- Add jalapeños for extra heat or chipotle peppers for a smoky flavor.
