Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup natural peanut butter (unsweetened, no added oils)
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup (your preferred natural sweetener)
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the peanut butter, sweetener (honey or maple syrup), egg, and baking soda. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
- Shape the Dough: Use a spoon or cookie scoop to form dough balls, about 1 tablespoon in size. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Flatten the Dough: Using a fork, gently press down on each dough ball to create a criss-cross pattern on top.
- Bake: Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden. The cookies should be soft in the middle but firm around the edges.
- Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 3-5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a softer texture, bake the cookies for 8 minutes. For a crispier texture, bake for 10 minutes.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. These cookies can also be refrigerated or frozen for longer storage.
