Description
These oven-baked cottage cheese chips are a high-protein, low-carb, and gluten-free snack! They are crispy, cheesy, and perfect for dipping or snacking on their own. Made with just a few ingredients, they’re a great alternative to store-bought chips.
Ingredients
Scale
1 cup full-fat cottage cheese
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan (optional, for extra crispiness)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Cottage Cheese: Drain any excess liquid from the cottage cheese. If desired, blend it in a food processor for a smoother texture.
- Season It: Mix in salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and Parmesan (if using).
- Form the Chips: Spoon small dollops of the mixture onto the lined baking sheet. Spread them into thin, even circles to ensure crispiness.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 25-35 minutes, or until the chips turn golden and crispy.
- Cool & Enjoy: Let the chips cool completely before serving. They will crisp up more as they cool.
Notes
- For Extra Crispy Chips: Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or leave them in the oven with the door slightly open after baking.
- Blending the Cottage Cheese creates a smoother texture, but it’s optional.
- Flavor Variations: Try adding everything bagel seasoning, taco seasoning, or chili powder for different flavors!
- Storage: Store chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
