Scale
- 2 large flour tortillas (8–10 inches)
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 6 oz)
- 3–4 tablespoons pizza sauce
- ¼ cup pepperoni slices (optional)
- ¼ cup bell peppers, thinly sliced (optional)
- ¼ cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
- Olive oil or cooking spray for crisping
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Prepare the tortillas: Lay one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce, leaving about an inch from the edge.
- Add the cheese: Sprinkle about 1 ½ cups of shredded mozzarella (and any other desired cheeses) on top of the sauce.
- Add toppings: Layer on your choice of toppings, such as pepperoni, bell peppers, or mushrooms.
- Top with another tortilla: Place the second tortilla on top and gently press the edges to seal.
- Cook in the air fryer: Place the quesadilla in the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F (190°C) for 4-6 minutes. Flip halfway through for even crisping.
Notes
- You can easily customize your pizza quesadilla by adding any favorite pizza toppings such as sausage, olives, or even pineapple.
- If your quesadilla is too thick or has a lot of toppings, you may need to adjust the cooking time slightly.
- For a healthier version, use whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas, and load up on vegetables.
