Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 can 15 oz kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes, with juices
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning or 2 tbsp homemade taco seasoning
  • 1 cup beef broth or vegetable broth for a lighter version
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for sautéing
  • 1-2 jalapeños diced (optional, for spice)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika optional for extra smoky flavor
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Sauté beef with onions and garlic until browned.
  2. Add beans, tomatoes, taco seasoning, and beef broth.
  3. Simmer for 30-45 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Serve with your favorite toppings like cheese, sour cream, and cilantro.
