Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped for garnish
  • Optional: Fresh lemon wedges for serving

Method

  1. Prepare the shrimp: While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Make the Alfredo sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
